I got this to replace a smaller pin dog brush that was too small and hard to handle.I liked this brush as soon as I took it out of the package.Pros:+The size is much better and the material is sort of soft and grippy in my hand. It is easy to maneuver and I have no fears that it will slip in my hand.+The pins are flexible with rounded ends and gentle on my dogs. My yorkies can get a little wiggly when it comes to brushing, but they didn't put up much of a fight with this one which tells me that I wasn't hurting them.+The brush pulled out any loose hairs or tangles with ease. Any stray hairs were easy to clean out.
I have used this brush on my two smallish, medium hair length dogs and we all love it. The pins on this brush are thinner and softer than other wire brushes that I have used. The pins are also slightly bent which helps when cleaning it. It doesn't seem to pull the dog's hair as much when brushing. When I get it out, two of my three dogs line up to be brushed. (The third dog only lines up for food). Also the pups look really nice and fluffy after being brushed with their new slicker brush.
I'm so impressed with this brush! The tines on it are about twice the length of the old slicker brush I have, plus this one has a nice, cushy pad below the tines. These features plus the shape of the tines gave the brush a spring action that seems to help it gently pull the undercoat through the top coat on my Doodle. It worked just as well for the long hair on his ears and tail as it did for the thick curly areas on his legs and back. And he seemed to enjoy the whole process, which is always a plus! For me, I really appreciated the long handle and its unique shape. It felt really comfortable in my grip. Plus the material the handle is made of has a nice feel, it's very smooth and silky, yet not slippery so it stays secure. I also liked the rounded piece behind the head of the brush that I could rest my thumb on, which allowed for more control and stability. I will definitely be throwing my old slicker away and only using this one from now on!
Works great on my cockapoo.Makes her look good and now she likes to be brushed .Good quality and doesn't feel cheapAlso very comfortable so it is easier to spend time brushing her.
Excellent dog brush. My dog is a mutt (unsure what breeds), but definitely some sort of terrier mix with a combination of wiry curly hair and soft straight hair. This brush works great for him, doesn't cause any pain and has been very easy to use. Comfortable to hold as well and easy to clean.
I like that this brush makes it easy to remove fur (or hair.) I actually got this for a long shag rug, to fluff and detangle the strands after line drying. However, I did try it on my scalp first, and it felt really good. I have very bleach damaged hair around the midshaft and below so this did a good job of working out the knots (you want to work from the bottom on any knotted hair or further and work your way up.)It feels good though I think on my dog I would have to be very careful to not brush too hard because I think the line between "feel good scritches" and "ouch" is a little fine. The handle feels good and is a good material. I accidentally dropped onto concrete and was surprised it didn't chip.I was going to give it four stars because I think $16 is a little expensive, but thinking of the metal bristles, and the construction of the handle, I think this probably is five stars.
All of my doggos love this brush! I brush them.....then I hold it about 4 inches from the ground and they take turns walking under the brush. They look well groomed and love their turn to run under the brush!
My long-haired Maine Coon cat gets matted often. She likes me brushing her several times a day. This brush gets through her coat well. I don’t press too hard as the pins on this brush are long. That is necessary to get through the tangles. The brush is sturdy and made well.
This slicker brush works great for my German shepherd's coat. I use a toothpick to slide the hairs up, otherwise it is a bit difficult to remove the fur. The brush is made of a hard plastic material that is very soft to the touch and very comfortable to hold in your hand.
Not only does my dog love it, but so does my cats! This is great and helps with detangling and shedding!
This is the first brush I've found that my Golden Doodle/Poodle mix will allow me to brush him with. To my surprise, he will actually lean in to let me brush him rather than running away like with other brushes I've tried. He has a thick curly coat and is very sensitive to brushes that pull on his fur. The long, skinny bristles on this brush flex with the contours of his coat and glide through curls so I can gently work through mats without pulling too hard. I also really enjoy the silicone-like grip, it feels nice in the hand and provides good control. I wouldn't think this would be a great brush for thinning out or removing excess fur, but it is really good at detangling. And for doodles and other curly-coated breeds who don't shed, it's just about perfect. We now both enjoy brush time. So happy with this brush!!!
OodleLife Pet Grooming Detangler Pin Dog Brush For Shedding and Removing Loose Fur is product reviewed.Since I have both a cat and a dog, this brush was quite useful! The brush is quite large but is easy to handle. The bristles are somewhat thin and on the pointier side. My dog has shorter hair and wasn't a huge fan since it tended to dig into her fur. The cat thought it was awesome however! Did get a good back and neck brushing before he got too excited and began eating the bristles. It got a decent amount of fur out. I'm looking forward to trying this in shedding season to see how it works then. Good brush for longer fur.
🍃This brush has an ergonomically designed handle and fits comfortably in the hand. It is and attractive peach color, which helps to easily locate it. It has firm, but flexible stainless steel bristles that works exactly as they should. It’s easy to use, and easy to clean. It is quality made and should last a lifetime.Highly recommended. 👍👍
My Goldendoodle and I highly approve and praise the Oodlelife slicker brush! Although my dog doesn’t have the most challenging of doodle coats (no undercoat) and I keep her clipped about 1” long, she still needs to be brushed, of course. This brush is just what we have been needing! Her other brushes and combs seem to pull, snag, and tug, and she hasn’t looked forward to brushings. This slicker brush glides through her coat but removes dead hair so effectively. The pictures show the hair removed after a mere two minutes of brushing! Best of all, instead of trying to get away, my dog relaxes and lays down completely, grunting in pleasure!!! This is amazing! The length of the slicker teeth is important for a doodle coat, which could be much longer than my dog’s. But also important is the tension they place on the coat. This brush seems to have just the right amount of pull to remove dead hair and smooth the coat while not tugging and making the dog uncomfortable. I'm SO glad I ordered this for my dog, and highly recommend it! My daughter has a Goldendoodle and an Aussie, and I’m going to make sure she buys one for them!
This detangling brush is lot more gentle than it looks. The long pins have rounded blunt points that aren’t sharp at all, nor do they seem to be uncomfortable when brushing. The handle design is great, and this brush is really easy to hold and manage. In using it so far, it does a nice job with daily grooming, and it seems to be tolerated pretty well, so that’s a big plus. I'm very happy with it, and I think it's nicely designed.
